Key Responsibilities \ Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for residential construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and extensions. \ Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and material assessments from architectural plans and specifications. \ Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and labour. \ Analyze project scope, drawings, and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities. \ Present detailed breakdowns of costs to clients and internal teams. \ Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs. \ Utilize estimating software effectively to streamline the process. What We're Looking For: \ Proven experience (3+ years) as an Estimator specifically within the residential construction sector. \ Mandatory: Demonstrated experience working on Australian residential construction projects. This includes familiarity with Australian building codes, materials, pricing structures, and industry practices. \ Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. \ Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Buildxact, Cubit, or similar). \ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with Australian teams. \ Ability to work independently, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines. \ Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup. \ Flexibility to align working hours to effectively collaborate with Australian business hours (e.g., overlapping with AEST/AEDT).
