Experience in a bookkeeping with an Australian client Strong working Xero knowledge Payroll compliance experience Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities Software & Systems Xero Accounting Software Hubdoc, Dext and cloud applications Client owned external software including job management, CRM, scheduling and industry specific software platforms Workflow management systems and software, including client procedure manuals Microsoft suite What will you do? The Bookkeeper is responsible for delivering high quality bookkeeping, payroll and compliance support services to a portfolio of business clients. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting BAS services and payroll compliance obligations, and providing proactive client service within a registered BAS Agent practice. Core Bookkeeping Responsibilities Process day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients across a range of industries Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, debtor and creditor administration Reconcile bank, credit card, loan and clearing accounts Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting schedules Process and review source documentation using Hubdoc, Dext and similar tools Maintain accurate, up-to-date client accounting records and digital filing systems Payroll Services Processing of accurate, on time, end-to-end payroll Leave, entitlements and accrual management Long service leave and redundancy reporting Commissions, bonuses and retainers processing Employee onboarding and offboarding Maintain Single Touch Payroll (STP) obligations Superannuation and SG Charge Statement preparation Apprenticeship claims and workers compensation administration Compliance Services Prepare Activity Statements and supporting workpapers for BAS Agent review Prepare superannuation, payroll and statutory compliance reports Assist with Payroll Tax, TPAR, Work Cover, Labour Hire Authority and other regulatory reporting requirements Monitor compliance deadlines and identify issues requiring escalation Liaise with the ATO and other agencies under BAS Agent supervision Reporting & Data Integrity Month-end and management reporting Accounting file audits and health checks Data integrity reviews and corrections GST and coding accuracy reviews Variance investigation and reconciliation reviews Client Service & Communication Professional client relationship management Manage client correspondence, including monitoring authorised client email accounts (as authorised) and liaising with accountants, the ATO, suppliers, customers and other external stakeholders Accurate recording of timesheets and client billing information Join the awesome team and enjoy these benefits & perks: WFH Medical, Dental Coverage and Life insurance from day 1 of employment Paid Vacation and Sick Leave (with Quarterly Sick Leave Conversion) Competitive salary package and annual appraisal Financial Assistance Program Mandatory Government Benefits and 13th Month Pay Regular Company Events, Work Life Balance, and Career growth opportunities JOIN CONNECTOS NOW!
