Position: Part-Time InDesign Specialist / Graphic Designer Employment Type: Part-Time (25 Hours per Week) 25,000 Php/month Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST Location: Remote Portfolio Required: Yes About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe InDesign Specialist with strong graphic design capabilities to join our creative team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who excels at creating professional, publication-quality layouts for books, magazines, catalogs, brochures, reports, and other multi-page documents . The primary focus of this position is Adobe InDesign production and layout design , while the secondary responsibility involves creating compelling graphic designs for both print and digital media. Primary Responsibilities (70–80%) Design and produce professional multi-page publications using Adobe InDesign Create layouts for: Books (Specifically chapter books) Magazines Brochures Catalogs Annual reports Manuals Newsletters Workbooks and other publications Develop master pages, paragraph and character styles, tables, and reusable templates Ensure consistent typography, spacing, grids, and visual hierarchy throughout publications Prepare files for professional print production and digital distribution Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to bring content to life Make revisions efficiently while maintaining layout integrity Organize large documents with accuracy and attention to detail Secondary Responsibilities (20–30%) Create marketing and promotional materials for print and digital platforms Design social media graphics, advertisements, flyers, posters, presentations, and email graphics Develop visual assets consistent with established brand guidelines Perform basic image editing and retouching in Adobe Photoshop Create vector graphics and illustrations in Adobe Illustrator when needed Required Qualifications Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign (required) Demonstrated experience creating complex multi-page publications , including books, magazines, catalogs, or similar editorial projects Strong understanding of: Editorial layout Typography Grid systems Print production Prepress requirements Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including: Adobe InDesign (expert) Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Strong graphic design skills for both print and digital applications Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience with exporting InDesign Books as Epub to be used for Ebooks Experience with Press Checks/Print Quality Assurance Experience exporting books from inDesign to working Epub files for Ebooks Knowledge of interactive PDFs and digital publications Experience preparing files for commercial printing Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro Basic understanding of branding and marketing design Portfolio Requirement (Required) A portfolio is required to be considered. Your portfolio should clearly demonstrate: Multi-page publication layouts (books, magazines, catalogs, brochures, reports, etc.) Advanced Adobe InDesign expertise Strong typography and editorial layout skills Print production work Graphic design projects for both print and digital media Applications without a portfolio showcasing relevant InDesign work will not be considered. You have an eye for typography, consistency, readability, and visual storytelling, and you can produce polished, publication-ready documents while also contributing creative graphic design solutions when needed.
