Job Overview The Tax Accountant will manage accounting functions, financial reporting, BAS and tax lodgements, reconciliations, and compliance using Xero and other accounting tools. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial statements using Xero. Prepare and lodge BAS, including GST coding and reconciliations. Prepare and lodge Individual Tax Returns. Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare and post adjusting and accrual journal entries. Manage ATO lodgements and monitor BAS, PAYG, and ITR deadlines. Assist with payroll preparation and review. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven Australian bookkeeping and accounting experience. Mandatory Xero experience. Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements. Payroll experience. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
