Job Description

Associate Team Lead – Web Development Job Purpose The Associate Team Lead – Web Development is a working lead role accountable for the successful completion of tasks assigned to junior web developers under their guidance while independently delivering their own web development tasks. This role focuses on task-level guidance, code quality, technical execution, functionality validation, and timely escalation to ensure junior developers deliver standards-compliant, responsive, optimized, and bug-free web solutions for Ecommerce MIPs, Gamified MIPs, SIPs, Landing Pages, Interactive Websites, and other web-based projects . The role may also perform additional responsibilities assigned by the company. Key Responsibilities Individual Contributor Responsibilities Independently develop assigned Ecommerce MIPs, Gamified MIPs, Landing Pages, Interactive Websites, and other web-based projects. Deliver personal outputs that meet quality standards, technical requirements, browser compatibility, responsiveness, and agreed timelines. Balance personal project execution with ownership of junior developers' deliverables. Junior Task Ownership & Accountability Accountable for task readiness, technical guidance, review, and escalation of junior web development tasks. Ensure junior developers clearly understand: Functional requirements UI implementation requirements Responsive behavior Browser/device compatibility expectations Coding standards Performance expectations Submission deadlines Monitor development progress and intervene before issues affect quality or timelines. Review, test, and approve junior developers' outputs before submission. Escalate blockers, technical risks, dependencies, or recurring quality issues to the Team Lead promptly. Task-Level Guidance & Mentoring Guide junior developers on implementation approaches, architecture, debugging, optimization, and coding best practices. Assist developers in translating UI designs into responsive and functional web implementations. Help identify technical dependencies and potential risks before development begins. Provide continuous coaching through real-time feedback and code reviews. Quality & Standards Enforcement Enforce company coding standards and development best practices. Ensure outputs are: Responsive across devices Browser compatible Performance optimized Functionally complete Clean and maintainable Minimize rework through proper technical reviews before submission. Identify recurring technical skill gaps and address them through coaching and task-based instruction. Functional Validation & Technical Review Validate functionality before submission. Verify: Responsive layouts Cross-browser compatibility Navigation Animations Forms Ecommerce functionality Gamification logic User interactions Loading performance Ensure all acceptance criteria are satisfied prior to sign-off. Collaboration & Communication Serve as the primary point of accountability for junior developers' task outcomes. Communicate progress, risks, delays, and technical concerns proactively. Collaborate with: Project Managers Team Leads QA Designers Ensure seamless execution throughout the production pipeline. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the company that support project delivery, operational efficiency, or organizational objectives. Qualifications Required Strong experience in modern web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Vue, Phaser, or other frameworks relevant to company projects. Experience developing Ecommerce MIPs, Gamified MIPs, Landing Pages, or interactive web applications. Strong understanding of responsive design principles. Knowledge of browser compatibility and performance optimization. Proven ability to manage personal development tasks while overseeing junior developers' deliverables. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Previous experience mentoring or guiding junior web developers. Experience working in fast-paced production environments with tight deadlines. Familiarity with ad technologies, playable ads, ecommerce experiences, or gamified marketing projects. Failure to provide sufficient technical guidance, code review, functionality validation, or timely escalation that results in quality defects, missed deadlines, or production issues will be evaluated as a performance issue at the Associate Team Lead level. Task Ownership Workflow Stage Executor Owner / Accountable Responsibilities Outcome / Rule 1. Task Assignment PM / Team Lead PM / Team Lead Assign Ecommerce MIP, Gamified MIP, Landing Page, SIP, or web project to Junior Developer. Assign Associate TL as Task Owner. Define functionality, acceptance criteria, deadline, and technical requirements. Task has an assigned Associate TL 2. Task Readiness Check Associate TL Associate TL Review requirements, technical approach, dependencies, browser support, responsiveness, assets, APIs, and identify risks. Ready to Start or Escalated 3. Development & Guidance Junior Developer Associate TL Monitor implementation, provide technical support, answer questions, review progress, and intervene early when necessary. Development proceeds correctly 4. Code Review & Functional Validation Associate TL Associate TL Review code quality, responsiveness, browser compatibility, performance, functionality, and adherence to standards. Approve or return with actionable feedback. No approval \= task not complete 5. Submission & Escalation Junior Developer Associate TL Submit approved work. Escalate delays, blockers, or quality concerns with actions taken and recommendations. Early escalation protects delivery commitments Accountability Rules Responsibility Detail Task Outcome Associate TL is accountable for the successful completion of all junior web development tasks under their supervision. Technical Guidance Provide implementation direction, coding best practices, architecture recommendations, and standards enforcement before and during development. Code Review Review and approve all outputs prior to submission. Functional Validation Verify responsiveness, browser compatibility, functionality, performance, and acceptance criteria before sign-off. Escalation Escalate technical risks and project blockers early to prevent delays or quality failures. Personal Delivery Consistently deliver assigned development tasks while effectively overseeing junior developers.
