As an international company we are looking for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Designer who will work in Manila. Qualifications Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years experience in designing Battery Energy Storage Systems. Proficiency in relevant software tools for simulation and design. Strong knowledge of battery technologies, energy storage systems, and power electronics. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities The BESS Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing battery energy storage solutions to meet the specific needs of clients and projects. Develop and design Battery Energy Storage Systems based on project requirements, considering factors such as capacity, voltage, energy density, and safety standards. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate BESS into existing or new energy systems. Conduct technical feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate the suitability of different battery technologies for specific applications. Perform performance simulations, system modeling, and energy storage optimization to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Stay updated on relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations related to BESS design and integration. Ensure that all BESS designs comply with local, national, and international safety and environmental standards. Engage with clients to understand their energy storage needs and provide technical expertise in proposing optimal BESS solutions. Participate in client meetings to present design concepts, discuss technical specifications, and address concerns. Work with project managers and estimators to provide accurate cost estimates for BESS designs, taking into account materials, labor, and other project-related expenses. Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and manuals, to facilitate the construction and operation of BESS.
