About The Role • We are seeking a highly experienced Nonprofit & Grants Specialist to support the growth and sustainability of Destination Education and D.E. Academy through grant funding, sponsorship development, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships. • The ideal candidate has a proven track record of securing grants, building corporate partnerships, managing nonprofit communications, and identifying funding opportunities that align with educational and childcare initiatives. • This role will be responsible not only for securing funding but also for helping build a sustainable fundraising and partnership infrastructure that supports long-term organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Grant Research & Writing • Identify local, state, federal, and private foundation grant opportunities. • Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications. • Manage grant submission timelines and reporting requirements. • Track grant performance and compliance obligations. Sponsorship & Partnership Development • Research corporations, foundations, and community organizations for sponsorship opportunities. • Develop outreach campaigns to secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships. • Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding organizations. • Prepare sponsorship proposals, presentations, and partnership packages. Nonprofit Communications • Draft professional emails, donor communications, impact reports, and funding requests. • Coordinate fundraising and community engagement initiatives. • Assist with nonprofit documentation and organizational reporting. • Maintain donor and sponsorship records. Strategic Development • Identify sustainable funding opportunities to support childcare and educational programs. • Support organizational growth through strategic funding initiatives. • Collaborate with leadership to align funding opportunities with organizational goals. • Help build repeatable fundraising and partnership systems that can scale with the organization. Qualifications • 5+ years of nonprofit development, grant writing, or fundraising experience. • Proven history of securing grant funding and corporate sponsorships. • Strong proposal writing and persuasive communication skills. • Experience working with childcare, education, youth development, or community-based organizations. • Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and reporting requirements. • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Experience • Early childhood education or childcare organizations. • Foundation and government grant applications. • Corporate sponsorship acquisition. • Donor management systems and CRM platforms. • Community outreach and partnership development.
