Responsibilities • Build 17 WordPress websites using our existing template • Transfer and format text, images, pages and other existing content • Adapt the template to the content and requirements of each website • Ensure every website works correctly on desktop, tablet and mobile • Preserve existing URLs where possible and implement proper 301 redirects where required • Transfer page titles, meta descriptions and other important SEO data • Improve existing website text for SEO, readability and conversions • Optimise headings, internal links, image alt text and page structure • Improve loading speed and Core Web Vitals • Deliver strong Google Lighthouse scores • Test forms, links, tracking, analytics and conversion events • Perform quality assurance before each website is launched • Document completed work and any outstanding recommendations Performance expectations The websites should be built to achieve strong Google Lighthouse results under normal production conditions. Our target is approximately 90 or higher for Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO on both desktop and mobile where technically achievable. Scores must be achieved through proper development and optimisation, not by removing important functionality or temporarily disabling scripts during testing. Required experience • Strong experience developing and migrating WordPress websites • Proven experience with multi-site or high-volume website projects • Good understanding of technical SEO and on-page SEO • Experience improving Google Lighthouse scores and Core Web Vitals • Knowledge of caching, image optimisation, lazy loading, CDN configuration and database optimisation • Ability to work carefully with redirects, metadata, analytics and tracking • Strong attention to detail • Good written English and clear communication • Ability to manage deadlines and provide regular progress updates When applying, please include • Examples of WordPress websites you have built or migrated • Before-and-after Lighthouse results from previous projects • Examples of SEO improvements you have completed • Your estimated timeline for completing all 17 websites • Your fixed project price or expected hourly rate • How many hours per week you are available • Whether you personally handle both development and SEO content Applicants who send only a generic application without relevant examples will not be considered.
