We’ve been in operation since 2016 and currently service 50 US markets with \~15,000 cleaning jobs worked per week. Job Description The QA Engineer to support the quality and reliability of our features as we scale. This person goes beyond test execution, they understand business logic deeply, dig into code when needed, and aren't afraid to push back when something doesn't make sense. They are comfortable with SQL, data analysis, and working across teams to ensure quality at every stage. Key Responsibilities Own the quality and testing strategy for features and systems, from requirements through release. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing processes that scale with our growing platform. Write SQL queries to validate data integrity, investigate production issues, and support data-driven testing initiatives. Dive into repositories to understand feature implementations and identify potential edge cases. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and operations to understand business logic and ensure it's correctly implemented. Investigate production issues, analyze metrics, and trace root causes to advocate for fixes that address underlying problems. Build and maintain automated tests to improve release confidence and reduce manual testing overhead. What we’re looking for: Has experience testing complex, data-driven applications and understands how to test and learn about platform business logic. Truly passionate about software quality , not simply testing a given feature. You ask hard questions and aren't afraid to challenge ideas when something doesn't add up. A candidate who loves SQL . You're comfortable writing queries to validate data, investigate issues, and support data-driven testing across the platform. Has the ability to read and understand code . You're willing to dive into GitHub repositories to trace how a feature works or where a bug originates. Has experience with automated testing , or a strong interest in building and expanding test automation . Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills . You thrive in cross-team collaboration , fielding questions from stakeholders, and clearly explaining QA findings. Outcomes 1 month: You will have learned our core business flows (booking, matching, payments, communications) and begun executing test cases for active features and experiments. 2 months: You will have identified gaps in our current testing coverage, started contributing SQL-based validations for data-driven projects, and proposed improvements to our QA processes. 3 months: You will be owning quality for a product area, diving into code to understand implementations, and collaborating directly with engineers and product managers from requirements through release. 6 months: You will have meaningfully improved our release confidence and reduced production bugs through better test coverage, automation initiatives, and early involvement in feature development. Equipment: Stable and Fast internet (at least 25 Mbps upload and download speed) Personally owned laptop / desktop: Processor: i5 or equivalent RAM: min. 6GB You will be required to have a second monitor (min of 24’ at 1920x1080 resolution) within 30 days from start date Noise-cancelling headphones Webcam What to expect: Probationary Probationary Pay : $800 – $1,600 USD monthly, depending on experience and demonstrated competencies assessed throughout the hiring process. This will be discussed after the final stage. Probationary Period: 3 months Non-Probationary Pay: Will highly depend on the assessed probationary pay to be offered.
