Position Summary The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting project cost tracking. The ideal candidate has bookkeeping experience and a solid understanding of construction cost codes, allowing them to accurately allocate expenses and assist with job cost reporting. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Record and reconcile daily financial transactions Maintain accurate general ledger records Allocate expenses to the appropriate jobs and cost codes Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting Prepare monthly financial reports and job cost reports Monitor outstanding invoices and collections Maintain vendor and subcontractor records Support month-end and year-end closing activities Ensure accounting records are organized and audit-ready Collaborate with project managers to verify project costs and coding accuracy Qualifications Required Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong understanding of construction cost codes Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation, or similar platforms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Preferred Experience in the construction industry Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting Knowledge of payroll processing Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field Skills \& Competencies Accurate data entry and record keeping Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and confidentiality Schedule Approximately 15 hours per week to start Flexible working schedule Application Question(s): (REQUIRED) What is your desired wage per hour in USD?
