We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to support our clinical documentation process. In this role, you will review, edit, and finalize notes generated through an AI-powered medical scribe platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance before entering documentation into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The ideal candidate has strong medical transcription experience, excellent knowledge of clinical terminology, and an understanding of how documentation impacts coding, billing, and reimbursement. Experience in orthopedics and familiarity with AdvancedMD EMR are preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional transcription and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities Review, edit, and finalize clinical notes generated by AI scribe technology. Accurately enter and organize finalized documentation within the EMR system. Ensure all clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with provider standards and regulatory requirements. Supplement and enhance AI-generated notes as needed to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness. Maintain proper grammar, formatting, spelling, and medical terminology throughout all documentation. Collaborate with providers and billing teams to ensure documentation supports appropriate coding and reimbursement. Identify missing or incomplete documentation that may impact revenue cycle processes. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulations. Meet established productivity, quality, and turnaround-time expectations. Stay current with documentation standards, medical terminology, and workflow best practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation standards. Understanding of the medical billing cycle and the relationship between documentation, coding, and reimbursement. Experience reviewing and editing clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Excellent listening, typing, proofreading, and editing skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment. Strong written communication skills and commitment to documentation quality. Experience working with orthopedic or musculoskeletal specialties. Familiarity with AdvancedMD EMR or similar electronic medical record systems. Knowledge of medical coding principles, billing workflows, and revenue cycle management. Experience working with AI-assisted clinical documentation tools or medical scribes. Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or equivalent credential is a plus.
