Job Summary The General Bookkeeper is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards, particularly US GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Key Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing daily transactions, compliance, general accounting, and finance. Administer reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis for multiple entities. Perform all duties related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and handling payments. Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the company’s obligations. Produce financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data. Analyze and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance. Meet processing and reporting deadlines accurately and timely. Ensure that payables are submitted on time so that expenses are properly charged to the incurring month. Post cash receipts accurately to the Accounts Receivable (AR) ledger. Follow up with customers regarding past due payments and assist in maintaining positive customer account relationships. Perform customer account maintenance and ensure account records are updated accurately. Assist with AR-related administrative tasks as needed. Support process improvements and automation initiatives related to ecommerce transaction postings. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 1–2 years of related experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping. Understanding of US GAAP, reporting standards, and accounting principles; experience working with US companies is preferred but not required. Competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) and accounting software. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail with the ability to book transactions properly and accurately. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to handle both bookkeeping and AR-related responsibilities effectively. Willing to work on a night shift schedule. Willing to work in a permanent hybrid setup. Willing to work on a full-time 3-months contract (with potential for absorption based on performance.)
