About The Role • You will be responsible for managing multiple clients across a range of industries, delivering high-quality bookkeeping and ensuring all compliance and reporting is completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities include: • Full management of a multi-client bookkeeping portfolio • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations (to a review-ready standard) • Payroll processing and compliance • Month-end close, reconciliations, and financial review • Preparation of BAS, IAS, TPAR, and Super obligations • Reviewing your own work and identifying issues before they escalate • Liaising with internal team members and supporting client communication where required What we’re looking for: • Minimum 3+ years’ experience working with Australian bookkeeping clients • Proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously (non-negotiable) • Strong Xero experience with the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of your portfolio • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise across competing deadlines • Confidence in reviewing work, identifying errors, and resolving issues • Clear and professional communication skills Highly regarded: • Experience with Xero add-ons (Deputy, WorkflowMax, ServiceM8, Tradify) • Experience with payment platforms (Stripe, Square, PayPal) • Familiarity with Karbon or similar practice management tools What sets you apart: • You don’t wait to be told — you take initiative • You understand the “why” behind the numbers, not just the process • You can manage deadlines across multiple clients without compromising quality • You take pride in clean, accurate, and complete files About Us • AAS is an award-winning Australian bookkeeping firm supporting a diverse client base.
