We are seeking an experienced Pain Management Pre-Authorization Specialist / Administrative Support professional to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience obtaining pre-authorizations for pain management procedures, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, reviewing patient charts, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers, patients, providers, and internal staff. Responsibilities: Review patient demographics, medical records, diagnosis codes (ICD-10\), and procedure codes (CPT) to ensure accurate authorization submissions Obtain pre-authorizations for pain management procedures through insurance carrier calls, online portals, and other available resources Verify insurance benefits, coverage details, and patient eligibility Coordinate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to facilitate timely authorization approvals Monitor authorization status and follow up on pending requests as needed Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within practice management and EMR systems Manage, organize, and distribute patient records, reports, and other healthcare documentation Provide administrative support, including calendar management and appointment scheduling Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards Assist with reporting, record management, and other administrative functions as assigned Requirements: Proven experience in Pain Management Pre-Authorization Strong knowledge of insurance verification, benefits investigation, and eligibility processes Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and insurance authorization requirements Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and critical-thinking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare documentation systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with DrChrono EMR . Previous experience in pain management, interventional pain, spine, or specialty healthcare practices.
