Video Editor based in the Philippines responsible for producing both high-retention, long-form YouTube videos and dynamic short-form content (Shorts, Reels, TikToks). The editor will assemble raw footage, structure engaging narrative hooks, integrate relevant B-roll and motion graphics, design balanced audio and sound effects, and deliver polished, ready-to-publish exports. Qualified candidates must have a verifiable portfolio and proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut. Key Responsibilities Long-Form YouTube Video Assembly: Cut and edit full-length YouTube videos (8–20+ minutes) from raw A-roll and multi-cam footage, building coherent narrative arcs and clear chapter structures. YouTube Retention & Pacing: Craft high-retention video hooks in the opening 30–60 seconds, eliminating fluff, dead air, and repetitive phrasing to maximize YouTube Average View Duration (AVD) and Audience Retention. Short-Form Content Repurposing: Identify key moments, highlights, and viral segments from long-form videos to cut and reformat into vertical Shorts, TikToks, and Reels. Storytelling, Visual Assets & B-Roll: Research, source, and integrate relevant B-roll, stock footage, custom lower thirds, screenshots, pop-ups, and kinetic typography that directly support the creator's talking points. YouTube Sound Design & Mixing: Select fitting background music tracks, balance background levels under speech, clean vocal audio, and add subtle sound effects (whooshes, risers, pops) to emphasize narrative transitions. Expectations Understanding YouTube Strategy: Familiarity with YouTube analytics concepts (CTR, Retention Curve, Hooks, Pattern Interrupts) and how visual editing directly impacts viewer drop-off. Turnaround Time: Ability to deliver rough drafts of 10–15 minute long-form edits within 48 to 72 hours, maintaining consistent output schedules. Clear Communication: Regular progress updates on rendering, rough cuts, and file transfers through designated team channels. Preferences & Requirements Location: Must be based and working within the Philippines . Portfolio / Work Samples: An active portfolio or Google Drive showing actual long-form YouTube edits (documentary style, talking head, gaming, educational, or vlogs), not just short-form clips. Software Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard non-linear editing software—primarily Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (CapCut for Shorts/captions is acceptable, but full-fledged NLE experience is required for long-form).
