About The Role Join our remote-first engineering team as a Senior Python Backend Engineer , where you'll design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power our platform and internal tools. You'll work with modern technologies including Python, FastAPI, Docker, Linux, and infrastructure automation while helping deliver reliable, high-performance systems. What You'll Do Backend Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI. Build reliable, high-performance services that support platform growth. Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following engineering best practices. API Development Design and build RESTful APIs for frontend and system integrations. Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability. Maintain well-documented and consistent service interfaces. System Design & Engineering Contribute to backend architecture and technical design decisions. Write modular, scalable, and maintainable code. Participate in code reviews and continuously improve engineering quality. Quality & Reliability Build automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Pytest. Monitor application performance and improve system reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Linux & Infrastructure Manage and support Linux-based development and production environments. Perform server administration and shell scripting tasks. Support application deployments and system stability. DevOps & Automation Containerize applications using Docker. Automate infrastructure using Ansible. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Collaboration Work closely with Product, Frontend, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions. Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 6–8+ years of backend software development experience. Strong expertise in Python. Hands-on experience with FastAPI (or similar modern Python frameworks). Strong Linux administration and shell scripting experience. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. Experience with Docker and containerized applications. Experience using Ansible for infrastructure automation. Experience writing automated tests using Pytest or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of scalable and distributed systems. Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows. Nice to Have RabbitMQ Pydantic SQLAlchemy CI/CD pipelines DevOps best practices
