We partner with organizations across a wide range of industries, delivering end-to-end finance support including Fractional CFO services, controllership, systems implementations, bookkeeping, and HR support. The Opportunity As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our collaborative, fully remote team. In this role, you'll support multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting processes, and providing insights to support business decision-making. You will work closely with our internal team and external partners to deliver high-quality, timely financial information and recommendations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, self-managed, and comfortable working with clients across different industries. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting \& General Ledger Management Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain and oversee the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records across multiple client accounts Generate management reports and provide meaningful financial insights to clients and internal stakeholders Budgeting, Forecasting \& Financial Analysis Support budgeting and forecasting processes Monitor actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying and explaining variances Analyze financial data to support business decisions and strategic planning Identify financial risks, trends, and cost-saving opportunities Assist clients with cash flow planning and financial performance monitoring Compliance, Tax \& Audit Support Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable financial regulations Assist with corporate, payroll, sales tax, GST, and income tax filings as required Support internal and external audit processes and prepare audit schedules Maintain documentation and processes that support compliance requirements Client Support \& Process Improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client financial and operational needs Serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients, responding to accounting and reporting inquiries Mentor and support junior accounting staff when applicable Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies Prepare ad-hoc financial reports, analyses, and special projects as assigned Qualifications CPA designation Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (experience with other systems is an asset) Proficiency with Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 Experience working remotely with U.S. or Canadian companies (EST / MST / PST) Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Self-motivated, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities High level of integrity and professionalism
